The first project in DES 115, which was the Letterforms & Typography class I took at UC Davis in the quarter of Fall 2019, was to take a group of random words that was provided to us and to create three different abstract collages using the words we received.
Each collage was a different size grid, therefore creating more potential obstacles for us to try and work with.
I thought a lot about orientation, sizing, negative and positive space, and the shape of each particular letter as I worked on this.
