For the final in my CAD class, we were tasked with creating an object of furniture.
The constraints were that we had to make sure the object could realistically be built, as well as properly function, and it had to be made out of attainable materials.
Other than that, we had a lot of creative freedom.
I decided to incorporate my love for video games (specifically Nintendo games) into my project.
After doing a lot of sketches and some prototype designs, I decided to create the Power-Up Counter, which used Toad from the Mario games as the main design element.
I learned a lot from this final assignment, such as how to work with both Rhino and Artlantis, how to come up with the calculations for sizing furniture, which materials work the best with which project, and how to present a final CAD project to a group.
